Matthew Strausbaugh Media

I began playing music when I was 8 years old, starting with the violin. By the time I was in high school I was playing drums and guitar in bands and I still play in bands to this day. Music will always be my first love.

After 20+ years of playing heavy metal and working in the music business, mostly as a front of house live audio engineer and promoter, I started to develop some pretty strong symptoms of tinnitus. At 38 years old I was faced with an aging body and an uncertain future, so I decided to go to school and further my skill set.

While I was attending Butte College I earned Associate Degrees in Video Production & Social Science as well as a Certificate in Audio Production for Musicians.

After graduating from Butte College in December 2014, I transferred to California State University, Chico where in May of 2017, I earned a Bachelor's Degree in Communication Design: Media Arts and double minors in Broadcasting and Instructional Design.

My training in Instructional Design guides me to develop and structure educational content in a way that best delivers the information to students to most adequately meet the predetermined objectives. I possess expert knowledge of learning theory and use this information to guide my actions. 
I am thoroughly familiar and comfortable with multimedia in various forms and can utilize these media to most efficiently deliver educational content.

Specializing in EduTainment: From writing scripts, to shooting scenes, to post production I strive to deliver training content that have the "4- E's"... Engaging, Educational, Entertaining and Effective.
